CPV power plants technology is designed for areas of high irradiation and has a low heat degradation coefficient, making it the best solution for large power plants. CPV can provide attractive returns generating a fast energy payback.

The global advantages of CPV are:

  • Much less degradation with ambient operating temperature - CPV do not suffer from temperature degradation as do conventional silicon PV and thin film, thus delivering much more energy.

  • Less age degradation – CPV systems based in triple junction cells have less age degradation than traditional PV or thin film.

  • Higher efficiency – The CPV systems have higher efficiencies than PV or Thin Film technologies, requiring less land space for the same power output.
